Mission:

Oviedo City Soccer Academy will provide opportunities for aspiring young talented soccer players throughout the world to train in our development academy team and play vs the Oviedo City FC first team. We will guide and showcase our players while they are Enrolled with our Oviedo City Soccer Academy or if they eventually sign with Oviedo City FC's first team.

Oviedo City Soccer Academy will provide talented soccer players the pathway to be ready for the top professional soccer leagues. Once a player has become a target of a local or international professional club anywhere in the world, we will make every effort to evaluate and finalize a transfer agreement as needed after carefully reviewing all the pros and cons.

Oscar Albuquerque - Soccer player

Oscar Albuquerque (born in Lima, Peru) is a former Professional Canadian soccer midfielder. He spent most of his professional career playing in the North America Soccer League (NASL) in the United States and the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) in Canada with teams such as Buffalo Blazer, Chicago Sting, Toronto Metros Croatia, Toronto Blizzard, Hamilton Steelers. He is currently the president and founder of International Soccer Dream and Oviedo City FC. with headquarters in the USA and Spain.

Professional:

Following graduation from college in 1980, Albuquerque signed with the Denver Avalanche of Major Indoor Soccer League(MISL). He then moved to the Phoenix Inferno for the 1982–83 season. Albuquerque finished his career with the Illinois Thunder of the NPSL with whom he played two seasons, 1990–1992.

National team:

In 1979, Albuquerque was called into the Canadian Olympic soccer team as it entered qualification for the 1980 Summer Olympics. Canada did not qualify for the tournament. However, he did play for Canada in the Pan American Games, but these games are not full internationals.

Coaching:

In his two seasons playing with the Illinois Thunder, Albuquerque also served as an assistant coach. On July 4, 2004, Albuquerque became an assistant coach with the expansion Chicago Storm of the Major Indoor Soccer League under head coach Frank Klopas.

Team management:

In 2006, Albuquerque became the president of the expansion Rockford Rampage which competes in the Professional Arena SoccerLeague. Oscar realized the path for youth players to become professional soccer players can be confusing and difficult. Using our club professional environment will develop great players.

Oviedo City Soccer Academy offers soccer players an opportunity to start and develop so they can eventually play with professional soccer clubs in Europe. The ultimate goal of a top soccer player is to play in Europe.
